Neli Moody is a writer and a lecturer at San Jose State University.  After
Altamira,
published by Ishmael Reed Publishing Company, is her first
published collection. The poems address widely diverse subjects  with
passion and  trace our efforts as humans to connect with each other,
through words, art and music. They are grounded in the deep and intricate
relationship between humans and our planet Earth. Subsequent collections,
while varying in theme, find their genesis, too, in nature and the complex
processes of growth and decay, love, and loss.

I am writing lots of poems, awaiting word from various potential
publishers. Have sent out a couple of mss. I will be teaching
Creative Writing and Composition in the Spring 2010.
My essay
""A Syntax of Stones: Pre-Text, Edifice, and the Sacred Space in
Richard Berengarten's’ 'Avebury'" will be published by Salt
Publications in the UK as part of its Companion text to Richard's
work in 2010. That essay will appear in the March 2010 issue of
Jacket Magazine.  Her poem "Full Worm Moon" will appear in
the March issue of the
Adirondack Review.
